Surabaya, Indonesia's second largest city, has large numbers of children who are at risk. Many children are orphans or categorised as neglected by the government. Medan

The original children's project commenced in 2005 following the tsunami that caused incredible chaos and loss of life in Aceh, North Sumatra. We now have two children’s homes in Medan catering for children who are at risk.

Miraj

The city of Miraj along with the sister city of Sangli, is home to over 1700 commercial sex workers and has the highest incidence of HIV/Aids in India. Many of these women have numerous children who are introduced to the sex trade from an early age. Our project in Miraj provides residential care for a large number of high-risk children. We also support a computer school and a night crèche for the children of local sex workers.

Peth Vadgaon (Widow)

This project works with 12 widows and provides a range of services and empowerment opportunities for impoverished widows. Widows in this area are often subject to injustice and may lose their property. This project offers micro-enterprise opportunities, nutrition and support for needy widows.
